Includes an initial clinical exam of the animal, gross necropsy, oropharyngeal and fecal bacterial culture for pathogens, pelt exam for ectoparasites, examination of the feces for helminths and microscopic examination of the duodenum, ileum, cecum and colon contents for protozoa.
